Welcoming Rob Dennis as Our Interim President
Dear RIBA-USA Members,
After four years in the position of RIBA-USA President, I wanted to announce my resignation. I am however, delighted to announce that Rob Dennis RIBA AIA is stepping in as Interim President.
Rob is the RIBA-USA Chapter Chair of Florida & the Southeastern region. He is a dual licensed British and American Architect and is the Assistant Director of the Public Works Department at Broward County, Florida.
Please reach out to Rob at robdennis@ribausa.org with any ideas or comments, he will be happy to hear from you!
I am moving into a new role as RIBA Director of Strategic Development, North America. This is the first post that RIBA has had on the ground here on this side of the Atlantic. RIBA’s aim is to further support the members living and working in this region and to grow the influence and knowledge exchange between the UK and North America. This is in the context of the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the ARB and NCARB which has been part of my focus for many years and is now ratified and in place. This agreement allows architects to work in each jurisdiction.
It has been such a pleasure to work with the amazing Board of the RIBA-USA and to meet members across the country.
There will be an election for a new President in the new year and I look forward to working closely together with the next President to further the efforts on both sides of the Atlantic.
With best wishes and kind regards,
Catherine Clark RIBA ARB Int’ Assoc. AIA NCARB
