British-Jamaican-American Architect Rob Dennis is the RIBA-USA Southeastern Chapter Chair and Interim President.

RIBA-USA represents and amplify the work of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Chartered members living and working in the United States.

He holds a BSc. (Hons) Architecture degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture (PG Dip Arch) and a Master of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of East London, United Kingdom. He is a registered architect in both the United Kingdom and the State of Florida, maintains memberships with both the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and he is accredited by USGBC as LEED AP BD+C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Rob is also a graduate of the AIA’s Jacob Leadership Institute.

As a registered Architect on both sides of the Atlantic with over 35 years in Architecture and the Construction Industry, Rob brings a unique perspective to his public sector work in Broward County, Florida. He has led various teams at notable architectural firms such as Broadway Malyan, HOK International, CallisonRTKL and Perkins + Will.

Rob Dennis is currently the Assistant Director of Broward County’s Public Works Department. The Department has eight Divisions employing over one thousand staff. One of Rob’s key responsibilities is leading the US $1 billion+ Broward County Convention Center Expansion and Headquarters Hotel project in Fort Lauderdale. This includes engaging various strategic stakeholders such as Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Port Everglades, City of Fort Lauderdale, local residential and commercial communities.

Over a period of twelve years, Rob volunteered and served as the Vice-Chair of the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Coral Springs and was also a member of the city’s Architectural Review Committee.
